This release documents the behind-the-scenes experience as Eric Burdon performs with his The Animals in his hometown of Newcastle, England for the first time in over 20 years.

Back home in Tyneside, they held a special birthday performance at the historic Newcastle Opera House. This DVD is a backstage pass for a trip back in time, to a town where Eric is the 'local boy who makes good' and everybody knows and loves him.
Interviews with Eric and the band provide insight and perspective to the event, and town 'locals' provide a colourful backdrop. It features Eric and his band (Dave Meros, Dean Restum, Martin Gerschwitz and Bernie Pershey) in performance, backstage and around town as they reprise their role as Newcastle's homegrown working man's band.
